Terms And Conditions

Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: August 8, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the provision of piano moving, rigging, storage, and related logistics services (collectively, "Services") by Piano Movers Philadelphia, LLC ("Company," "we," "us") to the customer ("Client," "you"). By engaging our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with booking.

1. Services Provided

Piano Movers Philadelphia, LLC provides professional piano transportation, in-home or venue placement, stair carries, elevator coordination, and temporary or long-term storage solutions. All Services are performed by trained technicians using specialized equipment, including but not limited to skid boards, straps, and padded covers.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if, in our sole discretion, the piano or the access route presents an unreasonable safety risk to our crew or property.
  • Client must disclose all relevant details regarding the piano (e.g., grand, upright, digital, player) and the physical environment (e.g., stairs, narrow hallways, lack of elevator) at the time of booking.
  • Any additional labor required due to undisclosed conditions (e.g., excessive distance from truck to door, multiple flights of stairs, or disassembly of doors) will be quoted and billed separately.

2. Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, major credit cards, and certified checks.

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure a booking date. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of the move.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Any change in scope, weight, or access conditions may result in a revised estimate.
  • If the Client cancels within 48 hours of the scheduled move time, a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the quoted price will be charged.
  • If the Client is not present at the scheduled time or the location is inaccessible, a "wait time" fee of $75.00 per hour (prorated) will apply after the first 15 minutes.
  • Storage fees, if applicable, are billed monthly in advance and are subject to a lien for non-payment.

3. Liability Limitations

Our liability is strictly limited to physical damage to the piano caused by our negligence during the move. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the lesser of (a) the actual repair cost, (b) the depreciated value of the piano, or (c) $50,000.00 per move.

  • Pre-Existing Conditions: The Client acknowledges that the piano is accepted for moving in its current condition. We are not liable for pre-existing scratches, dents, tuning instability, or internal mechanical defects.
  • Excluded Damages: We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, or damage to floors, walls, or doorframes caused by normal wear or by the movement of the piano over surfaces that are not properly protected by the Client.
  • Climate & Tuning: We are not responsible for changes in piano tuning or pitch caused by temperature or humidity fluctuations during transit or storage.
  • Valuables: Any items placed on or inside the piano (e.g., sheet music, vases, photos) must be removed by the Client prior to the move. We are not liable for loss or damage to such items.
  • Third-Party Premises: For moves involving stairs, elevators, or common areas, the Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions from building management. We are not liable for delays or damages arising from the denial of such access.

4. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

  • Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
  • The Client consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to venue.
  • If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

5. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, or agreements.
  • Amendments: No modification of this Agreement shall be binding unless made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Piano Movers Philadelphia, LLC.
  • Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, weather, strikes, or governmental restrictions.
